Wanting to experiment with oils for some time and being encouraged to try new things by the tutors, I decided that now was the moment to put the acrylics aside and experience the buttery magic of oil paint.
I decided to go simple with the first and do a self portrait. Here's how it went.
After not liking what I had produced, I decided to scrape off a layer of the paint and go again, though this scrape made the painting interesting so it remains in this state.
